Charles City Art-A-Fest - Charles
City, Iowa, August 20, 2005
After a threat of severe weather overnight including a
lot of thunder and lightning, Saturday morning started sunny and a bit
cooler, which was welcomed. Again the weather cooperated and it
was a great day.
There were fewer exhibitors than 2004, but still a a
good group. There were about 30 exhibitors and again the quality
of the work was outstanding. I had a lot of repeat customers from
the year before, this being my first repeat festival. It was nice
to hear about how much they enjoyed the works that they purchased last
year. It was especially gratifying to have some of them actually
hoping that I would be there this year. It's good to feel wanted.
I did a tremendous amount of sales, topping the last two
shows combined! I even took a few orders for items that were on
this web site, but already sold. I've got my work cut out for me
to get these done and work up my inventory for my next show.
Charles City again was very good to me. I'm
planning on working some bigger festivals next year, but I'll be sure to
include the Charles City Art-A-Fest in my schedule for 2006!
