Waterloo Holiday Arts Festival.
Waterloo, Iowa, November 13, 2005
I have attended this art festival several times over the
years. My mother got me the information, and although I wasn't
really sure about this one, I decided to give it a try.
I'm sure glad I did. It was an easy show to set up
for. There were many volunteers there to help out and unload.
The organizers were very helpful and made sure that we had everything we
needed.
Leanne and I attended the artist/patron party on
Saturday night. It was a nicely catered affair, with great food
and entertainment. Uncle Chuck Finch was there singing and playing
guitar. When he went into "Sail Cat", I couldn't help but
sing along. I've heard him several times on KUNI.
Sunday was a great sale day. I received six Patron
Purchase awards. All of my large sculptures sold and a good share
of everything else. This made loading up for the trip home pretty
easy! I was extremely grateful for all the support from family and
friends.
And a special thanks goes out to the members of the
Waterloo First Presbyterian Church for all of their support and kind
words. It was great to see you all!
Now I have to get busy and create as many new sculptures
as I can for the Very Cherry Holiday Arts Open House on December 3.
It is shaping up to be a great event. Hope to see you all there!

They got the information wrong. These of course are my dinosaurs, fish and many other creations. Nice to see them in the paper anyway. |
